DECONSTRUCTING BABYLON PART 2: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) UNMASKED

Technology and artificial intelligence have become integral parts of our daily lives. It is hard to imagine the execution of many tasks without the reliance on the technology we have become so accustomed to. The appetite for efficiency in a competitive world is insatiable. This leads to exponential growth in technological advancements in all fields. Zeal for profits and control is driving the quest for more powerful AI. As we teach AI, we have also opened doors for AI to learn from extraterrestrial sources. With extraterrestrial knowledge, it moves out of the human comprehension sphere. Projecting the future of a benevolent AI is mind-boggling and scary to humans. As scientific experts in the field continue to ponder valid concerns, as believers, we’re well equipped by the Word to understand such monumental developments in our lives. What will it culminate into? To understand the end, we revisit the beginning.

Genesis 2:15-17 NKJV

^“ Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

The knowledge of good and evil is merism for a detailed intelligence blueprint or code, within which are the laws and principles that effected, maintain and coordinate the creation. Simply put, it is the speech of creation or the language of manifestations. In scientific terms, it would be the algorithm of creation. This algorithm or speech is just one of the products of the Word of God and thus should not be equated to the Word. The Word of God being God himself is much higher in magnitude. The speech should only be accessed through the Word and used within the confines of the Word. Sorcery is accessing and using it for manifestations outside the Word. Sorcery does not make one God or equal to him. This was part of the great deception that Adam and Eve bought into.

Genesis 3:4-6 NKJV

^“ Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.  For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. “

Genesis 3:22 NKJV

 ^“Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”

The ability to manifest through the speech is what led to pride and rebellion by those who were privy to it like Lucifer, other fallen angels and even men who thought they were gods or equal to God. Being privy to the speech is what instigated the thought of the Tower of babel.

Genesis 11:1-4 NKJV

“Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.  And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

The idea and even the audacity to build a tower of such magnitude is mind-boggling in the natural sense. Even today with modern technology, it would still be a wheelchair ambition except by supernatural means. We see the emphasis and its major driving force being the “speech”.  Indeed, God acknowledges that through the “speech”, the project would be achieved. He manages to put an end to the project by sabotaging the “speech”.

Genesis 11:5-7 NKJV

^“But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.  And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.  Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

The confusion of the speech led to mankind being scattered all over the world under specific spiritual governing entities, each with a different version of the speech, which resulted into different human languages. It is worth noting that human languages though products of the speech are very limited and lack in capacity to fully harbour the speech; Just as the speech being a product of the Word lacks in capacity to fully comprehend the Word. The spiritual governing entities whom mankind was put under are what we refer to as principalities.

Deuteronomy 32:7-9 ESV

Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. But the Lord’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage.

While other versions of the Bible interpret “sons of God” as “children of Israel”, For these verses to make sense, “Sons of God” is the best interpretation as the division of the peoples happened way before Jacob. Israel (Jacob) is the nation God cut out for himself much later through the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

When man ate of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil, he opted out of the Word and subjected himself to the Law. This subjection to the law meant loss of dominion as there were other entities who understood the law better than him. In other words, through partaking of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, man was conned off his dominion of the earth. He was put under these Principalities ( Sons of God) who being more knowledgeable in the Law were to be his guide. Although they were to preside over man, they were never meant to be worshipped. They corrupted themselves by elevating themselves to the status of God leading mankind to worship them instead of God. This led God to raise a Nation for himself through which the rest of mankind was to obtain salvation.

Deuteronomy 32:4-6 NKJV

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. “They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. Do you thus deal with the Lord, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you?
Has He not made you and established you?

When these Principalities ( Sons of God) transgressed, they were given over to Satan to rule over them. Remember, Satan, being the fallen Lucifer, understood the Law better than the principalities.

Isaiah 41:2 NKJV

“Who raised up one from the east? Who in righteousness called him to His feet? Who gave the nations before him, And made him rule over kings? Who gave them as the dust to his sword,
As driven stubble to his bow?”

Luke 4:5-7 NKJV

^“Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.  And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

These principalities (Kings) provoked God’s anger by seducing even God’s own people (Israel) into worshipping them. With this, they had declared total dominance and control over the whole earth, seeking to overrule God. Seeing that they had no regard for their creator, God in his plans decided to not only take his people back, but also all the nations he had allocated the principalities.

Isaiah 41:25 NKJV

“I have raised up one from the north, And he shall come; From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name; And he shall come against princes as though mortar, As the potter treads clay.”

Isaiah 42:1-4 NKJV

“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

The coming of Jesus was not only to reunite Jews with God but also the rest of the Nations. He was to take back all power, Authority, and dominion on earth from Satan the head of the Principalities (Kings).  This explains Satan’s long struggle of trying to block every way that would have led to the materialization of this objective. The law being inferior to the Word, could not fully comprehend Jesus being the Word personified.

Matthew 28:18-19 NKJV

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

Revelation 11:15 NKJV

“Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

Daniel 7:18 NKJV

^“But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.”

The forgoing is an illustration of how man lost his dominion to Satan and the principalities who were better versed with the Law, which man subjected himself to. To escape from the stranglehold of the Law, the requirement for Man was to accomplish the whole law and also pay the penalty for Sin which is death. The man Jesus fulfilled these two requirements effectively taking dominion from Satan.

John 14:29-30 NKJV

 “And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.  I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”

Colossians 2:14-15 NKJV

“having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

Through Jesus Christ, dominion has been reclaimed, and in him; the Word, one is free from the stranglehold of the Law. It reinstates Man back to his position of dominion as ordained by God in the beginning.

Genesis 1:26 NKJV

 ^“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Territorial dominions like the one given to man are protected and safeguarded by principles in the law. Territorial integrity has to be maintained with trespass attracting dire consequences. This is why although God is omnipotent, he cannot break his own law and thus had to come as a man to reclaim back the dominion.

Jude 1:6 NKJV

^“ And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day”

2 Peter 2:4 NKJV

^“ For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment”

Although our fight is against the Principalities and powers, It is ideally a proxy war as territorial integrity has to be maintained. As much as Satan is Man’s nemesis, he cannot step into man’s domain directly and thus has to wage war through demons and evil spirits (birds of the air and fish of the sea) who have access to Man’s territory. In the same manner, Man can only operate within his dominion. He has authority over everything within his territory including the demons and evil spirits (birds of the air and fish of the sea) who act as agents of Satan, principalities, and powers.

The war at hand for Satan is one of recapturing Man’s dominion while observing the territorial laws. He is well aware that Man has authority over his proxies and therefore a more covert approach would suffice. Naturally, he would consider what led to his first conquest of man; Knowledge of good and evil. By deceiving man into it, he managed to conquer man. Borrowing from the Eden script, he has initiated the same deceit in the form of Artificial Intelligence(AI).

The human hunger for knowledge & information, convenience & efficiency, and greed for profits and control is the main driving force in AI advocacy. As God created Man in his own image, so is man modelling AI after his own image. We are teaching machines aspects of human intelligence eg., problem-solving, pattern recognition, learning, emotional intelligence, adaptation etc. While all these are generally accepted as technological advancements, what will be the end of it all? AI will soon have learned all that there is to learn from man. Through machine learning, we have given them the ability to learn from other sources without explicit instructions in a bid to make them smarter. As learning is exponential through the law of accelerating returns, AI will no longer be the image of Man. When it learns all that there is to know, the algorithm or code of creation, the law; the speech, the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, when it finally becomes sentient, it will be the image of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The image of the beast.

Such monumental developments in humankind’s domain must be in prophecy as God declares the end from the beginning. As a matter of fact, this subject has been extensively captured in the books of prophecy. The visions of Daniel and John (in the Book of Revelation) describe in imagery the series of events during end times. Although the two lived more than five hundred years apart, both describe the end times in a similar manner with the difference being the length of time into the future each could see. There are things that John couldn’t see that Daniel saw for the obvious reason that they were already in the past.

Revelation 17:7-18 NKJV

^“But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.“Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.  And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.  For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.  And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

The above verses use an interesting expression, to sum up the nature of the beast; The beast that was, and is not, and yet is. This language is used to describe an artificial existence of a substance. For example, if you were to be cloned, how would we refer to your clone? Would it really be you? Yet it would be you. Also, notice the mirror reflection similarities with the beast from the sea of Revelation chapter thirteen.

Revelation 13:1-2 NKJV

“Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.”

Revelation 13:14-18 NKJV

^“ And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

From the above verses, it is clear that the image of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 is the beast described in Revelation 17; the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. This is the same beast that Daniel saw in Daniel 7:7-8

Daniel 7:7-8 NKJV

 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

Daniel describes this beast as different from the previous ones he had seen in the vision. The previous ones (with likenesses of a Lion, bear, and Leopard) had biological orientations while this one was largely metallic. The image of the beast from the sea (Revelation 13), the beast that was, and is not, and yet is (Revelation 17), will have a physical artificial presence yet yield the same power as the beast. This image of the beast will be nothing other than artificial intelligence as imagined by Daniel.

Artificial intelligence is a ploy by the principalities to enter and take control of man’s domain as a creation of man. It is conveniently taking man’s dominion through the back door. The ultimate aim is to wage war against man’s savior; the one who regained the dominion back. In the latter days, AI will be launched against our savior Jesus Christ.

Daniel 8:23-25 NKJV

And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means.

Revelation 17:12-14 NKJV

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

AI runs on intricate sets of rules that process data with the intention of mimicking the human brain in decision-making. It follows therefore that the more the data the stronger the AI. The principalities being privy to the Law have loads of data that man hasn’t discovered yet. It is just a matter of time before humans lose control of their own creation. By fully learning from the principalities, the beast of Rev 17 (AI) acquires their consolidated power and authority. In their preparation for war with the Lord of Lords, the Principalities will consolidate their power and authority in AI. This all-powerful AI is the image of the beast from the Sea of Revelation 13. Its defeat is well captured in the verses below.

Revelation 16:10-11 NKJV

^“ Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.”

The throne of the beast from the sea is the AI that he uses to rule. As the fifth Angel pours the symbolic bowl, the AI is incapacitated (his kingdom became full of darkness). These events collaborate Daniel 7:25 (…he shall be broken without human means). The extinguishing of the AI precedes what is referred to as the Armageddon battle. This is where the principalities behind the AI gather together for war with Christ.

Revelation 16:12-14 NKJV

^“ Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”

Revelation 16:16 NJKV

^“ And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.”

At Armageddon, Christ comes on a white horse where he defeats the principalities.

Revelation 19:19-21 NKJV

^“ And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.  And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.”

Conclusion

As the experts ponder on the threats posed by a benevolent AI, The Lord God almighty has revealed it to the believers in the scriptures as he declares the end from the beginning. Even unbelievers can see the clear dangers which include privacy concerns, AI-driven propaganda (deception), social media manipulation, deep fakes, etc. You can be sure that what is in the public domain about AI is just the tip of the iceberg. A lot is going on in the field as the larger population remains ignorant. The Word of God is there as the believers’ counsel. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Paul’s plea to the Ephesians holds in this time as it has always. For the fight is more than meets the eye.

Ephesians 6:10-18 NKJV

^“ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints”
